Ashley j.Cowburn LLB BSc (Hons) Grad IOSH - Law Practice Certificate
We are delighted to announce that Ashley J. Cowburn has been successful in passing with a Commendation, his ‘Law Practice Certificate’ earning him the privilege of carrying the letters LLB BSc (Hons) Grad IOSH behind his name.
This latest success is in addition to his degree in safety, health & environmental management plus a graduate diploma in law. Ashley managed to achieve a distinction in one of his final law exams.
Ashley now joins our risk management team full time and in doing so will help us to deliver an even better service to our valued clients.

SRSL’s Mike Cowburn was part of a panel in the style of the popular Dragons’ Den format to show how a Health & Safety professional should approach their organisation for funding in to important H&S matters.
The key note speaker was Chair of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), Judith Hackett CBE, who gave her view on the UK’s enforcement agency. Other speakers included:

The day went exceptionally well with the Dragons’ Den simile being well received.
Ashley Gains Graduate Diploma in Law
We are delighted to announce that following yesterday’s release of the 2007/08 results for the Graduate Diploma in Law, Ashley J Cowburn has been successful in passing all seven of the course modules including credits in many of the subjects.
This has been an extremely intensive course with three years condensed into one, but it now paves the way for Ashley to return to Nottingham Law School in September to complete his final year before hopefully gaining his LLB, law practice certificate.
These latest results follows attaning successes in his ‘Safety, Health & Environmental Management’ degree adding BSc (Hons) plus Grad IOSH to his name, whilst Ashley is currently working towards attaining CMIOSH in accordance with the CPD scheme.
Ashley will be joining the SRSL team full time from June 2009 and will add a whole new dimension to our corporate profile.

Ashley James Cowburn
Having successfully completed a BSc (Hons) in Safety, Health & Environmental Management, Ashley is continuing his studies currently taking a post Graduate Diploma in Law, whilst aiming towards attaining a Law Practice Course (LPC) thereby combining these two essential elements before joining the SRSL project management team and further enhancing our strengths.
Ashley, has already served within the insurance industry learning the basic mechanics of insurance practice whilst accompanying our experienced risk managers on site to test his new found skills. Similar experience has also been gained through the opportunity provided by DWF Solicitors www.dwf.co.uk for work experience both in and out of the courts.
Ashley is a bright prospect for the future soon to be one of tomorrow’s generation of qualified and experienced liability risk managers.
